Barbiturates HELP

There really isn't any good recreational dosage for phenobarbital. The safety margin for a dose that would really be considered "recreational" is not very good.
That being said, I would say anywhere from 200mg-500mg. If you hit the high end of this range and still are unimpressed (which will likely be the case), then give up.
 
I've personally done upwards of 600mg on numerous occassions and got nothing at all from it.
Phenobarbital is particularly dangerous when mixed with alcohol....more so than other barbs.
Some Trivia: The members of Heavens Gate used alcohol and phenobarb to transport them to the mothership. It was also Marilyn Monroe's last coctail.

I was under the impression that it was Nembutal that did her in.. here's another neat bit of information. There's a lot of mystery surrounding Marilyn's death. Some suspect that she was murdered via a barbituate injection, but the autopsy showed no fresh needle holes. But her anus was bruised, and some suspect that the dose of barbituates that killed her were administered rectally via a barb enema. Rumor has it that Marilyn had a real anal fixation. Cheers!
 
I thought so too,I just found 2 good articles, by doctors on the net that said it was NEMBUTAL!!! people always differ in which Barb did her in but every site says it was an overdose of sleeping pills, and phenobarbital is commonly the only barb known to some of these ignorant reporters who write most of the shit on the web. One more thing, Nembutal was perscribed for sleep disorders! Phenobarb wasn't. Well not usually. Anyway I think this is going to get ugly!Keep the replies comin'!!! MIkE
