Hey guys, new member here from Yahooka's OH board, and I've got a few basic questions about IV cocaine.
I searched the forums for everything I could find on the subject, and read PhreeX's AWESOME guide to IV drug use, but since I've never shot anything before I'd like to ask a few questions of you guys before I go ahead and take the plunge (no pun intended).
PhreeX's guide seems to be focused on shooting H, and he suggest using saline solution. In one of the messages I read, it was suggested that one use cold water rather than saline as the medium when IVing coke, and I just wanted to make sure this is correct.
The other thing is that I've heard that once you bang it, you never go back. I do coke VERY occassionally, and mostly snort it, occassionally I'll smoke a little, but here's my question. After I try banging it, will snorting it simply not do anymore? I love the high from insuffulated cocaine, and love the social aspect of breaking out some lines and everyone sharing. I just want to feel the rush that everyone talks so fondly about.

you don't even do it that often and you want to shoot it. Man you really must be asking for drug addiction. I've got a gun if you want to shoot yourself with that. It'll ruin your life both ways. Everyone of my friends that started shooting all turned out to be major junkies and it has ruined your life. Is the high really going to be worth it. Their are a lot of drugs out their that are not as addictive that are way more fun.

You could also just put your saline in the fridge. I just don't like the idea of shooting with tap water... but you definitely don't want to heat your coke solution for banging as you'll just end up disolving more cut...
And you can bang and not become some sniveling coke head. Personally, I bang it every once in a while- I try to never pay for it. A good system since there is always some coke head around that wants to share- but since banging - I do view snorting as just a waste of decent product. I hate smoking it... don't like the kind of rush. Banging is completely different. You will fiend a lot more (at least I do) when banging than with snorthing- more akin to smoking as the high is big and quick, but doesn't last too long- though I find banging to last a hell of a lot longer than smoking.
Smoking just jitters the fuck out of me... Banging is more of a fun rush and good high.

And to reply on the stupid comment, "everyone of my friends who started shooting it became junkies" we are talking about coke here right? Well the term "junkie" is used to describe a "junk" or Opiate addict so your friends were just psychologically dependant coke heads. , Mikey

I've IV'd coke a few times, and it was more pleasureable than snorting, but I had no problems with snorting it afterward. I find the thought of injecting myself on a regular basis rather disconcerting, its certainly not something you want to make a habit simply due to health risks. Just remember that, and bang on special occasions, but otherwise snort it. I hope you know yourself well enough to know wether you can handle the temptation of IVing on a regular basis. If you think you can handle it, then you probably can't. Only do it if you are damn certain that you can control yourself.

I'd only ever snorted coke once before I had it IV, now I hate to snort it, like everyone else says, it feels like a waste of drugs & I want THAT rush.
One of the things you have to realise is that the crash seems to get progressively worse, to the point where you would do & say some really stupid shit that you never usaully would for another blast.
I recomend having benzos on hand.
Oh the other thing is , banging coke is NOT good for the veins & after a whole night of it you satrt feindiong bad & shaking so it makes it really difficult to hit.
Um so really as much as I love it, I'd have to say be prepared for the consequences or is this just me?
Ohh also what I've noticed with banging coke is tah it's not as social as snorting, apart from the obvious social stigma of needles, I finfd taht I really dont want to communicate with others...comment?

I only shot up with coke one time and never tried it again, although I might in the future.
You're definitely not guaranteed to become a junky, or to stop snorting, at least for me it's a completely different high/experience from the standard coke situation.
Still, I don't like the idea of shooting any kind of cut street drugs, and that's the only kind of coke I was able to find.

I have banged it and to me it is just basically a novelty to do it that way and also smoking it...If I want to get blasted off coke I will usually just do lines every fifteen minutes till I feel like shit...which is about 6 - 10 hours unless I am getting just as drunk...then it will be a few more hours to feel like complete shit...
but you are not going to quit your job and rob your grandmother because you shot a point of coke
you will however get a pleasant rush from it...just take it easy and use all precautions neccesary including clean new needle practices
and before you start think about how far you want to get into it....If you are someone who visits you family every month or so, you don't want tracks running from your wrist to your elbow...but a couple pokes here and there will heal up in a day or too with some antibiotic cream and you will be left with no scars or anything
