Baking with Cannabis advice

Friday night a friend and I failed at making hash brownies. Maybe somebody could help me out as to where I went wrong?

We used....

• Betty Crocker Chocolate Brownie Mix
• A dry(ish) bud
• butter

The Method.

1. Finely chopped the bud and added it to some melted butter on a low/medium heat. Left it for about 5 minutes.
2. Added the butter and other ingredients to the premix, and baked for 25 mins, at 160c.

Ate the brownies once cooled.

Thing is....nothing happened. It tasted vaguely like weed, but even after 3 hours there were no effects.

Help..or directions to a how to thread I've missed, please?
