Bad storage idea

Lookin for some thoughts on this one...

I was storing a small amount of molly in tin foil for about 2 months.
It was stored at room temperature, in the dark only. I checked it a few weeks ago and it was fine. I checked it today, and it had turned into a brown tar. A sad thing to see.... The powder was initially white and very scaley/shiney - a little unusual looking, but it was very good.

So, some chemical reaction took place and its gone to waste. Any one have any experiences with that, or know why that happened??
 
i have no experience with that, but what i can speculate is maybe oxidation and possible reaction with the aluminum oxide(correct me if im wrong BlueLighters) i believe all tin foil is covered with. now it could also be something present in the mdma itself, who knows? but please describe the look, feel and maybe even smell of it to better let us understand
 
i get best storage results with a small glass container. i found mine at a local head shop, they have tons of cheap little glass containers with cork or glass tops. they are pretty cheap too, a small price to pay for safe and efficient storage though.

put your good in the glass container. and put it in a small sattin sun glasses bag. usually theyre black. you can go to a local "sun glasses hut" at typically any mall, and even buy the sattin bag without purchasing a pair of sun glasses.

combine the two and an already cool dark space. and you my friend are golden.

and it could have been any number of things that happened to your molly. the real solution here is taking steps to ensuring it doesnt happen again.

I kinda have the same question, I've been storing about 9 molly caps inside a old pill container for about 7 or 8 months. The thing is they powder inside the caps kinda faded brownish. Like they were white when I originaly bought them, now after looking at them the other day they appeared to have a tint of brown. Did they lose pontency or anything?
 
Normally if the molly has not been esposed to moisture then it will not lose much potency - turning to brown sludge makes me wonder if the crystals got wet at some point.
 
mdma is a very stable molecule, it could be left around for years and not lose it potency. Now storage is the best way to store it, sooo you dont get caught with it very easily you want to store it in a smart place. i find a plastic bag inside a pill container is not to shabby
 
I like to use those silicon moisture absorbing packets from beef jerky. Put the molly in a baggy then put the moisture absorbing packet in there and put it in a dark place with a stable temperature.
 
i dont know? im going to go get some molly wet and see!!! haha naw wouldnt do that, and wtf why would you have your molly around stuff thats wet????

for the record, there is no such thing as tin foil...misnomer. all foil you buy in stores (cooking foil, etc) is aluminum
 
i ask because last time i was at a club, i let a friend take a swipe from my bog o' molly and he licked his finger first. now that i look at the bag, it looks like its got some moisture in it.
