I can think of a few off the top of my head.

Ketamine for one, I found was lacking without some kind of psych or empathogen. A bump of Ketamine makes the roll that much harder, or the trip that much more visual.

Alcohol. What a shitty dirty drug. I know its a solid hard drug legally available, but there's so much better highs out there. However cocaine and alcohol is pretty solid. Amphetamines with alcohol isn't bad either.

Benzodiazipines. Yeah I know that there are lots of benzo heads, but I found the experience not fun and dulling. But combined with stimulants it makes for a nice smooth ride. Of course everyone hears about the dangerous methadone and benzo combo.

Thank you lol. Anyways I agree with the OP on benzos and stims but I tend to get reckless especially on high doses of xanax and meth. I find that alcohol and certain opiates go good together, and by alcohol I mean beer not hard liquor.
 
I'll definitely have to agree with the tobacco answer; a cigs just not the same without being on an opioid, stim, or alcohol.

For me, there are specific benzos that are uninteresting on their own (ie lorazepam), but I gladly take lorazepam alongside some dope or and opi.

Stims by themselves... ughhh, can't do it; I need something to ease the comedown and side-effects (cannabis, alcohol, benzos)
 
Definitely benzos and alcohol for me. Xanax by itself makes me lazy in 30 minutes, sleep in 45. I prefer to take my xanax with hydros or percs, any opiate. And liquor, ugh. Like someone said, such a shitty drug. I havent used coke since 07 but the coke and tequila combo was pretty wavy from what I remember.

GHB, boring on it's own, good with coke
Alcohol, boring on it's own, good with xanax (although you've gott be super careful about this combo as it's easy to black out.... I have never blacked out myself but very possible)
Alcohol, also good with coke (still dangerous)
Amphetamines by themselves are good but with ketamine are great
And of course amphetamines plus benzos, that is probably my favourite combo out of anything
I have never really mixed alcohol or amphetamines as one of them is usually the main substance of the night. I also really don't enjoy alcohol
 
Poppers (this can be fun on MDMA, terrible the rest of the time)
Nitrous oxide
5-meo-dalt (seems lacking on it's own, but can be awesome in combo)
Alcohol
MDAI (needs a stimulant or sends me to sleep)
Benzos
 
alcohol and ghb. both are "meh, i'd rather stay sober", but combined with amphetamine they add a nice touch (in the case of alcohol) or make for a pretty euphoric experience (ghb). but you really have to be careful with the dose. once the amp wears off, they can quickly send you to sleep or make you vomit. hopefully not both at the same time.
 
Phenibut pretty much sucks on its own, but it's great with alcohol and opioids.

Lately I've found diethyl ether to be a bit too dirty on its own for my liking, then I tried it with codeine and... wow. What an amazing experience that was. Of course, more trials are due but for now I'd say that on its own it's not worth much when compared to doing it with an opioid.
 
I guess I'm the odd ball here, because I love alcohol. Always. Although I don't know how you guys can casually mix benzos and alcohol, that combination is a definite black-out for me 100% of the time. In fact, I don't think I've ever just taken benzos and NOT blacked out. They aren't really my cup of tea anyway.

In contribution to the thread, I pretty much need to be drinking while on uppers. Not that I do them much anymore, but, yeah.
 
I recently tried BK-2C-B to be lackluster... until I added 1P-LSD. Perfect.

Also, I find that some RC's require a good supply of cannabis and benzos in order to be enjoyed fully. 2C-P, for instance, would've been difficult for me, and not nearly as fruitful or extraordinary, without 'em. The duration and "up-and-down" nature of longer research chems like that one call for backup, in my experience. Cannabis is always the great equalizer ;)

I've said it before and ill say it again smack about 12 to 16 hours after smoking a few points of meth is awesome. You don't nod off (well i don't when i smoke H after ice) but you feel very mellow. Alternatively if i can't afford H four glasses of beer at my local pub on the following night is quite relaxing. As others have said there is no way i could use meth and not have anything the next day to take the edge off, even if it only a beer it's so much better than nothing at all. I think this is common for stim users
 
pharmaceutical uppers excluding desoxyn(haven't tried) suck ass on their own.

a benzo, alcohol and weed is required.

alcohol is decent on its own but i prefer it when mixing it with other drugs.

DXM sucks on its own at the lower plateaus. it needs weed

cocaine is only worthwhile when drunk
