Hi there,

I am in day eight, of a 40mg methadone WD. This time, I was really lucky. It dindt last that long and wasnt even , like that hard. No idear, why. Do not complain, though.
But
I have looked into the safe , at the medical cabinet. ( I work in the medical field. ) Just to look for leftovers. Some patches, or pills no one neede anymore. Sometimes that happens. ( I did that without even thinking. Horrendosly stupid) Thats when I wondered.
Is this behaviour going away, with time?
Or think , of other things one does. Like cutting the bus, to get out at the scene , just to look.
Or looking for fellow addicts. People you could score from.
Is that ever going to go away?
Lurking a quick, pretty effective scan over the medications, mama has.
Scanning for valuable items, you could sell.
Is that going away?

you are only eight days out of a significant methadone dose, and still having to work around opioids. honestly that is intense af that you can even deal with that. full recovery from methadone is gonna take a couple of months minimum before your receptors are back in reasonable shape and PAWS wears down, I would expect cravings, energy problems, and depression/mood issues for a few months. it WILL get better though, provided you stay away from opioids and give your brain space to heal.

It definitely does get better with time, however.

Thank you dear. I get that part, Did it like a hundred times.
The famous smoking sentence from Mark twain comes to mind.
( I guess, you now.. friend. Here it is: "Giving up smoking is the easiest thing in the world. I know because I've done it thousands of times")

Yeah.
But for the paws post, I do not worry too much.
But, thank you, very kind.
I meant, this thread, the behavioural mechanism. You see?
Thx anyway
