Baclofen and Ambien is this a bad combo?

Mixing a very strange GABA-A drug with a GABA-B one... hmmm, this has the potential to be very bad for you and very entertaining for your neighbors.

I would wait on a response before attempting this. ;)

You were using Ambien for back pain? Not really what it was meant for....but to answer your question, as long as both the doses are therapeutic, I do not see too much trouble coming from this, except maybe some loss of inhibitions.

Neither of those drugs is an analgesic - baclofen can help muscle spasm definitely, but zolpidem (Ambien) is just good for knocking you out or giving you amnesia/weird effects :| do you have any simple painkillers like paracetamol or ibuprofen? If they aren't controlling the pain then you should see a doctor for medical advice and potentially better pain relief..

I would not take more than the therapeutic doses of each drug, and be aware that they could cause you to pass out or to lose your inhibitions or wake up unsure what happened. Definitely do not mix with any CNS depressants such as alcohol, benzos or opiates.

Agreed, taking alcohol and benzos with this kind of combination ensures that you've hit the GABA receptors from every possible angle, guaranteeing a blackout and amnesia at therapeutic dosages of each.

This is unless Phenibut and GHB/GBL work on the GABA-B receptors differently than baclofen...

In any case, mixing GABA drugs is asking for trouble. 1 + 1 doesn't equal 2 with synergistic drugs, it's more like 1 + 1 = 3 or 4

Dude I have been on some righteous drugs Lamictal SUCKED...so I understand the worry with the side effects I was more concerned on the fact I was not 100 for sure on the drug combo...but I stayed up pounded water...worked like a charm...and lack of sleep did suck indeed but I am glad I had an experience to say shit I am never gonna do that again...haha!! But thank ya'll for you imput.
