disappointed
with myself
yet not at all suprised
at how easy it was
to fall back into you
and in my head
i planned it so well
dressed to kill
confident smile
weapons drawn
"thinking fight fight fight at all costs"
but the moment
i caught my first glimpse
that lanky figure
ambling up the sidewalk
my heart foolishly
surrendered
i dropped these weapons
that only a moment ago
i brandished so fiercly
so adamantly
and fell right back into
this rut of infatuation
which took me so long
to finally climb out of
