I believe almost every major event in human history was a means to someone elses ends. Christianity was a means to keep the people content. Giving them hope and zeal with a higher power, but no motivation with a proofless God. Giving them faith, giving them purpose, giving them a glorious afterlife, all such things that require the submission to someone else. All these things given under a condition of subservience. And in time they come to depend on this system of deceptions known as religion for stability, and thus become content with the condition.
Occasionaly there are those that can see religion for what it is not, and although not knowing the ends for these means, still suspect a hidden agenda. These people come to reject things like faith, divine purpose, and an afterlife. Instead they come to embrace proof, self serving purpose, and the one life they know exists.
This has lead me to assume that Satanists created Christianity.
Entire mellenia ago, the minority started to realize that the majority is inexorably stupid. That most people, rather than searching lifelong for happiness as they define it, will settle for contention and servitude. The minority came to realize that they could use the "herd" to better fluff their own "coat" and the "sheep" would only ask "God" why it is now so cold! Entire processes of mass manipulation were developed, later automated by Churches and Holy Scripture. A monetary system was developed which assigned value to a days labor--for someone elses ends--and then swindled from the masses once again wearing the mask of compulsory donations! There are more than 500 million Catholics Worldwide, if each donated one dollar every sunday, that makes the person controlling the Vatican's coffer's quite a rich man.
Entire drama's play out over private channels, and become with the butterfly effect War and Jihads. People feel obligated to give money to their God when their God doesn't feel obligated to give them a damn thing in this life.
But alas, they have found such bliss in their ignorance, so I won't feel guilt as I mug this annoying motherfucker dressed in red and white standing outside the grocery store, a place where even us Satanists are infamously known to shop, ringing that bell. I mean, what's the point if his God is going to forgive me anyway?
