Richard buttrose is the nephew of Ita Buttrose

This week, we look into Richard Buttrose. He was the undisputed cocaine king of Sydney's A-list. Arrested in 2007, he pleaded guilty to selling cocaine and was sentenced to 12 years jail on 10th March 2010.

Apparently we get to see all the high tech gadgets police have now and of course how sneaky they are at watching people...

Might be worth a watch to any wannabe big timers out there ... :D

learn the tricks of the trade to evasion of the latest police tactics ... lol

Anyone got any links to it to watch it online later on? I think im working when its on or will be sleepin to get up for an early start:(

watchin atm. nothing too ground breaking in police tactics.
tip off
undercover sets up deals
physical surviellence

would buttrose be importing it himself or buying it off importers?

I can't watch these things, all of the propaganda and misinformation does my head in.

I'm going to assume that dealing to the 'A-list' isn't the most discreet thing one can do.

lol ended it by suggesting cops could be watching u. trying to scare all the would be dealers

He had kilo blocks with the peruvian dagger on them ..

he was selling 1 to 11 grams in one go ...

I wonder if the person supplying him the bricks disappeared overseas ??

they made no further mention of the other person who was helping robert who we saw show up at bowling club unexpected.

Also as everyone has said it pays to be discreet and also the police were tipped off.

Ita Buttrose's nephew in danger, court told

Ita Buttrose's nephew is in danger because of evidence he has provided about a drug ring, a Sydney court has heard.

Richard Buttrose has pleaded guilty to two counts of supplying cocaine to an undercover officer and another relating to almost six kilograms of the drug found in his Darling Point unit in eastern Sydney.

The two bricks of cocaine at the unit had a potential street value of up to $10 million.

His lawyer Martin Luitingh said Buttrose had provided evidence in further drug investigations, which have now put him at increased risk.

"Based on evidence he's already provided ... there is considerably an increased risk, not only in the present circumstances, but also after release," Mr Luitingh told a sentencing hearing at Downing Centre District Court today.

Buttrose, 36, had showed remorse by trying to make things right, he said.

"The serious exposure on behalf of the offender to rectify [the offence] is at his own personal cost."

Judge Robert Sorby rejected submissions by the defence that Buttrose's offence was in the lower range.

"Taking into consideration the amount, the paraphernalia, the amount of money, the hundreds of plastic bags sealed and ready to go - it is above the mid range," he said.

However, Mr Luitingh said Buttrose was not part of a large-scale street distribution and sold only to friends and acquaintances.

Mr Sorby dismissed that claim, saying it was very much street selling as Buttrose had been caught in a car park attempting to sell to an undercover officer.

In a sentencing submission in October last year, a psychologist testified that Buttrose was known as "the man" and his cocaine dealing led to his acceptance in the "wider echelons" of eastern Sydney society.

Buttrose told the court in October that his life was "out of control" and he had realised he had an obsession with cocaine.

He will be sentenced on March 18.

It was clear from that Richard was merely a puppet in a much larger game.

As far as the show is concerned, its shit. To every 1 minute of footage of cocaine/money they has 3-4 minutes of saying the same lines over and over again.

I don't think I'll bother watching this crappy propoganda series again.

Was pretty underwhelmed by the show in general to be honest, they could of condensed that to half an hour really. I thought 11 grams was an odd amount to be selling at a time and he really was stupid and greedy to be selling such small amounts to large groups of people. He should of had a tighter knit group of dealers or something, like who the fuck has kilos of cocaine and over a mil in cash but will still sell some prick on the sidewalk 2 grams? Thats crazy!

I would of been interested to know what he was using to cut the cocaine, I was only half paying attention at that bit but I don't think they ever did say? The whole tone of the show was pretty funny, like its so sinister. Like when they were searching his house and the commentator is like "there is no privacy here, it is vital the police find whats in his house" or some shit like that as though the world will come to an end if the pigs don't grab a few gram baggies off the street.

I wonder if any high profile people ever got arrested or investigated because of the so called "little black book"? Somehow I highly fucking doubt it.

Apparently he was cutting it with flour? haha. People would wonder why there waking up in the morning with dough in ther noses

^ LOL I was chatting to someone on msn and thought it said flour and was like, no fucking way. You would think someone with that much coke was using a better cutter, seriously.

when they first found the powder in the fridge they said flour, but at then end they didnt state that it was and just said some cutting agent.

If they removed the host and his pathetic narration, i think i could watch it.
