Australian Accents

I can't help but laugh at the thick country aussie accent, its just so good and bad at the same time :P

I'd also get pulled up on how i'd say 'no' from some friends in America, and whenever i said 'cant' they thought i was saying 'cunt', bahah.

Of all accents though, the irish accent is my favorite, i could listen to that all day.

Im just gonna put it out there that i think our accent is damn well awesome. It's relaxed and down to earth! I am proud, and wouldn't want it any other way.

Mofo's can laugh at our accent all they like. Fug em'

Cuntz. :D

Fuck oath!

We don't beat around the bush like all those other Kuntz aye!

Tis great living in a small town and being able to have a mad slur-filled chat with any random you meet on the street on a Friday night. Even on weekdays most people just couldn't give a fuck. Best attitude ever %)

South Australia == only state that did not start as a penal colony. All the rest of yers are #@$! convicts.

i have an eastern european accept but i say cunt and lots of ethnic slurs so i can pretty much fit in anywhere

i'm dating a girl from America (Alabama) at the moment. And I am having to put up with constant mockery of my accent. I have been told by many people that my accent isn't that strong, but she particularly makes fun of me when I say 'no'. it will generally bring out giggles and her repeating it in an exaggerated Australian manner.

She also says my accent gets alot stronger when I am speaking on the phone to someone Australian. When I use colloquialisms like 'mate' that generally draws a laugh too.

Those 'foreigners' are mostly citizens of this country and proud to be so. If they used colloquial Indian expressions you'd probably be bitching about them to go home.

+1 :)

On a slightly different note, having an Australian accent is one of the greatest advantages you can have if you're going to Europe. Personally, I think it is totally unattractive, but women (especially from central Europe) love it!

I reckon the South African accent is by far the coolest english accent on this planet... but that's just me :P

is there much difference between and aussie accent and a kiwi one?
as an outsider i cant for the life of me tell them apart and get the impression some people take offence at being called one when they are another
