Hi there,

My name is Eliana Hirakis and I'm studying at Griffith University at Mt Gravatt, Queensland. I'm looking to recruit people for a study that is investigating the effectiveness of online treatment for amphetamine use. The study has been approved by the Griffith University Human Research Ethics Committee.

The online treatment website can be found by clicking here: www.beatingtherush.com.au.

The online treatment provides one 30-minute session per week for five weeks. Participants will receive a $5 voucher for an online department store and go into a prize draw for an iPad mini for each session they complete. Some participants will be assigned to a five-week waitlist prior to being able to access the treatment sessions. This is necessary for us to determine whether the treatment is effective compared to those who are not receiving treatment.

This study begins on the 9th September 2013 and will run until 31st March 2014. It's open to anyone between the ages of 14 years and older who has used amphetamines in the past month. It is not a problem if you are already engaged in other treatment (e.g. face-to-face counseling) as this program can be used in addition to other forms of treatment.

I can be contacted at [email protected], at [email protected], or via the Bluelight private messaging system.

Hope to speak to you soon,

Eliana Hirakis

Your site seems to suggest the study is only open to residents of Australia, so I've added the [AUS] tag to the title to reflect that. If this isn't the case please let me know and I'll change it back.

Good luck with the study, this is a really interesting idea and I'd be happy to participate myself were it not for the restriction to Australian residents only. :)
