Why is it, whether it's people and guns, or people and meth, that it always has to be one or the other at fault..

Last time I checked it's a team effort. So in the wider scope; circumstance and the individual share blame.

Yeah....I see where you both are coming from. I guess since I have had many experiences with meth (a lot in which I stayed up for a long time) and never even THOUGHT about HURTING someone else (selling your body, selling drugs, even robbing a dealer isn't nearly as bad as harming innocent people like your family) I am a little biased.

Dysfunctional and dangerous to say the least. Ever since Uncle Fester showed how simple it is to cook using the birch reduction process and now the one pot shake and bake method, the entire scene is fuked. Most of the old time cooks would use 1 or to 2 people to acquire eph. or pseudoeph.
Now every criminal with a 2 litre bottle is turning out 1-2 grams.Used to be people could separate business from friendship.Not so from looking at the tweaker scene today. People get petty about counting the bag in w/the dope.Wanna act like their part of the cast of breaking bad.C.ell phone are a dead bust. I'm sooo glsd to be away from that lifestyle.

At meths peak here in Mo. There was almost 3,000 lab busts in one year. Law enforcement is still playing catch-up. Franklin, Jefferson ,and St. Louis county accounted for nearly 2/3 of those busts. On an aside, a friend told me how got chased down I-40 because he'd copped the last z to be had. Weaving in and out of traffic at 80 miles an hour, dudes hanging out the windows with rifles and hand.guns

I don't know whats going on with Missouri but much of the South-Western U.S is chock full of of High Quality Meth you may even find some tweakers lost baggie at bus stops...Depending on your connect you can score a pound for under 8K.... There is little if any Meth Labs out here...

If you're a naturally warm-hearted caring guy... and that guy gets addicted to meth. After some time, they're different people.

Only meth can take someone who wouldn't hurt a flee to being a unpredictable violent psychotic scum bag. However people with mental fortitude can overcome a lot of that and remain mostly the same, but most meth users don't have that.

Exactly what I said, it is the person not the meth. The person should have used more responsibly so it doesn't take over your life.

Meth isn't like any other amphetamine.. it's really it's own demon. I agree, it really does change people over time.. almost literally it is rewiring their brain to want more meth.

You're so anti-meth, it is hard to take this seriously. Meth IS an amphetamine. Maybe you had some bad experiences with it but it doesn't mean that it's the worst thing in the world and that it ruins so many peoples lives. I have had a few friends who have tried it on occasion and not gotten addicted. It may be addictive, yeah, just like many other drugs. Of course using it may make you want more meth. Using most enjoyable drugs make you want more of that drug. That doesn't make you a bad person automatically. Don't use meth every day, space out your usage, and don't let it take over your life.

This + a million. So sick of people stealing shit from their family and innocent people and saying "well it's because I was up for 3 days on meth)" like that fucking makes it okay.

You can say any drug can change a person, but it's the person, not the drug. Meth, coke, heroin, MDMA, psychedelics.

Seems like more a team effort, no? What's wrong with it being both the person and substance, the combination, that turns people from loving to scum? Both can be bad. Technically that's the truth; the black and white answer is rarely the accurate one.

I knew people whose level of habit put mine own to shame, but were still docile as could be.
What the difference is? I have no idea. Better able to handle drugs, sleep dep, weird thoughts, impulsiveness, etc. Probably a combination of a lot of things.

Basically IMO, you have to have a little Tim Leary in you; the ability to be grounded through it all. 1000's of trips he took, and still pretty much had it together by the ripe old age of 75. Good genetics is all I can point too, maybe good early child development as well.

Your point is somewhat valid but you also need to understand that Cocaine comes through Mexico via South America...Many of the cartels in Mexico & Their traffickers in the U.S have steadily been mixing Methamphetamine with Cocaine along with all the other usual cuts... A pure powder cocaine high should last roughly 10-15 Minutes per line...These days people remain high for nearly an "Hour: due to the Meth that's mixed in with the Coke. It won't be long until the East Coast starts seeing Cocaine addicts turn to Meth!! It happened on the Coastal & Interior West its just a matter of time until it becomes main stream in the "upper" drug community in the East Coast.

Good coke that isnt cut with speed lasts around 20-25 minute tops when snorted, around 5-7 when smoked in tis freebase form. Altough it seems when you are doing lines and lines at the end it lasts around 15 minute and a hit of freebase lasts like 2 minutes. I never IV'ed so dont know bout that
