I hope this is the right sub-forum for this..
I keep seeing advertising banners on my social media feeds for different at-home ketamine treatment sessions for depression/anxiety etc. The dose is mailed to you. take it at home under certain conditions and maybe some written reflection exercises or something similar..
I've heard good things in general about ketamine acting almost instantly to "reset" the brain etc. I am guessing it's a much lower dose compared to what a recreational dose might be? Either way, I have never experienced ketamine and might go for it?

The questionnaire asks about addiction and I respond "no" because I am afraid the minute I mention the (methadone Rx and daily meth use) that will end all chances with that specific business etc.

I am wanting to try this after my next detox from meth in hopes of getting a good jump start/ fighting chance (mentally)

Anyone have experience with one of these services? good?, bad?, indifferent?

ketamine is a fantastic interrupter of processes. In the immediate term, it seems to relieve so many symptoms. just be aware the literature about it "curing" things is thin at best, and imo a marketing tactic. It is a useful adjunct to an existing mental process, or in the case of genuine treatment resistant depression can be a miracle... for a few days. the effects wear off and must be repeated, and addiction and habituation are very real. long term, chronic use brings a whole host of other issues of which i am living proof. If you have good mental health support and are adding this in and it doesn't break your bank, id say go for it and use it to help you get through the initial depression of coming off of meth.
if you are looking for a miraculous cure, you will be sorely dissapointed. things too good to be true often are. but used realistically it can be a great helper.

Appreciate the info! I am Definitely guilty in wanting that instantaneous "cure-all" solution haha. I guess that's also the reason I began using anything in the first place 15 years ago...

the reality is: these holes take years, sometimes decades to get into, and the out way while not 1:1 -- it definitely can take multiple years to really blossom into full recovery. Considering the kind of damage we heap on brains, that is kind of miraculous. they are excellent at healing themselves.
