Asking the Mushroom Spirit Questions

Greetings all,

Tomorrow I plan on taking a psilocybin cubensis trip. I have tripped on mushrooms roughly ten times by now, and am by no means experienced, yet feel comfortable with their effects having dosed from 0.5-3.0 grams on different occassions.

I want to ask the mushroom spirit a few questions regarding my life when I enter that ephemeral realm of insight. What can I expect from directly asking questions pertaining to my own life? Or actually, how should I go about asking? Is this even a good idea? Normally when I trip I do not try to sway the course of what I am being shown, and that has lead me to having mostly positive constructive experiences so far, but I wish to use the mushroom with the intention of drawing forth strong personal reflection and insight. In particular I wish to ask about the direction of my life and a specific relationship which is causing me some confusion and angst.

I know that it is possible I may not like what I am shown, but I have placed my mindset in one of openness and positivity.

What can I expect?

I'd just stick to laughing your ass off and crying if need be - have a cathartic emotional experience.

No you don't, terrence mckenna talked about this very thing. Just be respectful.... know your self.... have fun.....

To the OP: If you want to connect to the experience, don't distract yourself from it. Take your dose in silence, keep your eyes closed and focus on the trance state. Do not talk to anyone, and do not listen to music.

If you feel the effects aren't strong enough to keep you occupied when the mushrooms come on, eat a few more, but do it right at the start of the peak so that they still affect the experience significantly.

If I'm looking for an answer to a certain question, I ask the mushroom before I eat it, thank it for its wisdom, and chow down. I'll then try to remember my question while tripping and most likely enjoying some good tunes. This will allow you to ponder your own question from many different perspectives. And yes, I've eaten so many mushrooms that I've gone bat shit crazy, and I talk to them now. Good luck and happy travels.

PrappaTheRapper I haven't got a clue what you talking about with he llama ding-dong or whatever lol but hat you said after that is great. It's exactly the rational type of reasoning I love to hear on the internet. And yes I'm too am certain that if it's a celestial being *cough* or NOT, you could still learn from it because they are just manifestations of your subconscious, which can be accessed since the psilocybin allows you to access different or more concealed parts of your brain or thoughts.

Just keep in mind that after dosing, the spirit in inhabiting you. The way to get answers is by asking yourself, and by extension the spirit, any questions you need answers to. It is through your own thoughts that the answers will come.

Mckenna said he once asked the mushroom "am i doing ok with my life ?'
the mushroom said "what kind of a chicken shit question is that to be asking me, if that's what you wanna talk about you should have taken mdma !".

Maria Sabina used to get people who were ill to come to her and pay her money and then she would take some mushrooms and "ask the mushroom" whether they were going to get better or not. Obviously it was a load of bollocks but for primitive people it was a pretty powerful thing. There's photos of her telling a handicapped kid that the mushrooms say he's going to die and a few days later he died.

Whether she was actually "asking" anything or just pretending so she could take the money is another question.

You don't need practise to ask the mushroom spirit a question - just ask the bitch.
