Asia: Why No Heroin in Tokyo?

Why does it not exist--and trust me, I've looked everywhere and I'm not asking for locations because i know all of the would-be spots and there is nothing-dry as a bone.

And as for drug rehab/detox--nothing there either. Methadone is illegal and does not exist. Sub. is illegal for residents, but visitors can bring in 1 months worth. A little difficult if you are staying for for awhile--and the paper work can be very frustrating.

Even an advil needs a docs script and family docs cannot script narcotics of any type.

The only country in the "free" world with such draconian laws.

Does anyone know why things are like this? I cannot imagine that Tokyo, being an international location doesn't have a need or potential user need/base.

And I've heard the story about the Yakuza (mob) keeping it out--just too far-fetched an idea.
 
I did a search and it said that visitors can bring in up to one months supply WITHOUT contacting Japanese authorities, they still must have a letter from prescribing physician. Anything over a month and then Japanese authorities must be contacted.

Weird that you cannot get any opioid maintenance therapy treatment there. :\
 
Thanx for the replies--but to not have heroin in a city as vast as Tokyo strikes me as highly odd--again, I've looked everywhere so I'm NOT asking for sources--and that's because they ARE NONE.

Unbeleivable frustration...
 
I dont believe that there isnt any H over there in Japan. I used to think like u sumtimes. Its all about who u know. Who will seek will find:) Just keep trying.
 
There is a reason why there is now a lack of opium/heroin in asia. The golden triangle, the traditional opium growing region of SE asian has been heavily targetted by aggressively targetted by the Thai/US govs. It now only produces 7% of the worldso opium/heroin. Afghanistan on the other hand produces 90%. its not at all targetted by any governments. So the production spheres have changed, and thus its direct influnce on the regions has too. Thus asia has an opiod drought, while the middle east, india, iran etc has a flood. 600 tonnes of h were seized last year alone by iran coming out of afghanistan.
 
yes, the above post are true-to some extent--but a lot of asain product is now being seen in the US as well as certain parts of euro. I still think that a metropolis as important as Tokyo would have a need, demand, and as such a market, however underground, that would need to be satisfied. I can't think of any major city in the "free" world that does not have some form of H. And the prized #4 still comes from the region. its going somewhere .

seems that google brings up tons of links on heroin in Tokyo. Seems odd if there is absolutely no H in Tokyo.

Maybe there just isn't any kind of an open market.

Its weird but if opes aren't available why would one need any maintenance? Must not be alot of addicts in Tokyo- that must be how they can make those electronic parts so well ;)
 
every time someone mixes the concepts of 'drug-taking' and 'being in an Asian country', my mind begins to boggle 8o

their lack of treatment programs is definitely a drawback, however :\
 
Drugs have always shifted geographic locations when this or that government cracks done on this or that drug. Its simple economics, h can't be gotten en masse in asia. So its going to cost more to bring in from the middle east. So they turn to more lucrative persuits such as mdma or ice. Meth has taken over asia. It's called yabba in most SE Countries. Drugs go through big periods of being 'the in' drug. Think 60,70 acid. 80's coke. Etc. Just wait the h will shift back into the game again.
