Are you addicted to Tobacco or cannabis?

People who claim they have 'withdrawals' from weed aren't suffering that, they're just pussies.

I've smoked plenty in my life and have never gotten withdrawals. I've craved weed from time to time, but it's not something I can't control. Do drugs, don't let them do you.

What's wrong with pussy... would you rather dick? ;)

But seriously, everyone is different. I don't get physical withdrawl symptoms. I am just bored as hell and very hyper active. But I was like that before weed came into my life.

But back on to the original subject of the post. I definately find I am addicted to bongs alot more since I started spinning. It's the synergy of nicotine and cannabis that does it. Nicotine hits you instantly, and then fades off into a pot buzz. Then, after about 30 minutes I want another one. Back when I smoked without spin, it seemed to last hours. And even if I smoke green only today, I don't want another cone straight away.

Nicotine definately makes the ritual of smoking cannabis alot more addictive than it is.

When i abruptly had to give up smokin ganj i found i could never sleep when i wanted to. I'd sleep at strange hours and never really had a sleeping pattern. I also picked up smokin cigs cuz i just wanted something to smoke.

ive quit cigarettes and weed many times, sober times varying from 1week to 6months, and have never suffered ANY negative effects

n yeah im off both now...

nicotine addiction

it's certainly uncommon in many parts of the world, but where i am from, people mix their weed/hash with tobacco. i know one person that doesn't smoke cigs, but he developed a persistent nicotine habit because he rolled joints with tobacco all the time.

has anyone here developed a nicotime addiction through the weed & marijuana mix, although you are/were a non-smoker?

Nicotine is one of the most addictive substances I know. It depends on how 'addiction prone' you are if you can withstand it. This - I believe - is essentially a genetic matter. Some people are very quickly addicted to stuff, others not. I am lucky to be relatively 'immune' - I smoke a few cigarettes per week and have done so for years, and I guess I am one of the few who can have a gram of coke lying on my desk for weeks before I touch it......This has nothing to do with willpower, it's all genetic I believe.....

If your buddy smokes joints (tobacco/hash or weed) daily, and for several weeks, he will develop an addiction. That's the nature of nicotine. How hard it is for him to kick the habit depends on that persons genetic structure....one thing he can do is limit his tobacco use to specific times/places/occasions.

it makes sense for me that he would become addicted to nicotine, tell him to smoke only weed for a few days and see how he feels

Where I live it's also common to mix weed with tobacco. Had the same thing, also got addicted to the nicotine buzz. I don't mind however.. :)

Here's a related thread.

i assume you're mixing tobacco in to make it burn nicely, so i'd say if its a big enough deal to you not to become addicted to nicotine, don't put the tobacco in, and just hone your rolling technique to find the right tightness that burns it more along the lines of what you enjoy. also, i've been smoking cigs everyday for about 3.5 years and still don't feel that i'm physically addicted. mentally most definately, and i do get an amazing almost thirst quinching feeling when i go awhile without one then enjoy one, but as was stated earlier, nicotine is amazingly addictive, and once your too deep in it gets really hard to quit.

Yerp. I've tried quitting both multiple times, it just doesn't happen. Congrats on having the will-power to give it away, champ!

Definete dope withdrawl. Key thing is just keep yourself booked with things to do. When i want to stop smoking pot i just keep myself busy. Physical fitness is great at this point for a couple reasons. First it keeps you focused on another goal besides getting high and playing starcraft. Plus you might be a little out of shape like I get after years of constant pot use. You might want to find a certain hobby to keep you entertained as well. Basically just try to start having fun and realize that you don't need pot to have fun all the time.

DRUG TESTS
1 good reason you may not want to work out immediatly after quitting is that all the THC that has been stored in your fat will metabolize. That means you may have quit smoking but your Blood levels would continue to rise.
Clean for a while but still pissing dirty. I say work out all the time then when you quit there won't be a spike all of a sudden.
If you don't have to worry about testing then by all means work yourelf into a pulp and remember that you'll probably be edgy towards people for at least a week.

Wow! i wish i had that ability. I'm a fiend! ;)
Luckily i don't smoke nicotine, but THC keeps me busy.

both, but if i have no weed i dont dwell on it... if i have no ciggys, 1 way or another i will get my fix (1 time i sucked on ciggy butts i was feening so bad) nicotine is very addictive
