It's not the drugs, it's you.
I, along with MANY of my friends are frequent, large quantity of, drug users. Including alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, MDMA, mushrooms, prescription drugs, ketamine, and so on. ALL of these friends are very happy & successful people, including myself.
I am currently enrolled in massage therapy school and doing VERY well. I do drugs at least 4-5 times a week. My friends, ranging in age from 20-40 all have very nice homes, great jobs, and great lives. We just know how to party, where to party, and when to say no. Very rarely does one of us get sick, even taking into consideration how many drugs we are on. In one single weekend I've done about 12 different substances (from alcohol to ketamine to prescription drugs) with a total of maybe 2 hours of sleep from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. My worst symptom? Bloodshot eyes from lack of sleep.
The key word is CONTROL. Know what is important to you (YOUR JOB, HAVING SOMEWHERE TO LIVE, HAVING THE FUNDS TO SUPPORT EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO DO, FAMILY, ETC). If you love to party like we do, you need to remember what's allowing you to do so.
Also, listen to your body!!! You don't just do more and more and more until you pass out. If you aren't ready to do more drugs, DON'T DO IT. Wait for the next round, take a break, drink some water, get some air, TAKE A NAP.
I don't believe drugs have made me any less intelligent or any less successful. Drugs have allowed me to get to know myself and my friends on a completely different level. And I appreciate every second of it.
