Are you a stoner?

I think I'd classify a stoner as someone who finds they need weed to function.. or when the urge to smoke becomes a need more than a want and becomes a routine habbit.

If you've ever caught yourself saying something along the lines 'Oh, I need to go shopping, I'll just have a quick toke beforehand' then you are probably most definitely a stoner %)

i used to be a stoner, from 13 to 19,(im now 22) smoking pretty much avery day from the age of 15, smoking in between classses, sneeking out of home at night to smoke a sneeky spliff before sleeping, being lazy and starting to eat loads in between meals (i used to be really sporty till i started smoking), now i don't buy, or only for New years or big occasions like that, and i hardly ever smoke, so i am no longer a stoner... but my stoner days were fun, probably the best of my life....

you're a stoner if weed gets you through times of no money better than money gets you through times of no weed :D well maybe not. i too find stoner a derogatory term, because it's typically what the gen xers call anyone who is in a daze and doesn't have a clue wtf is going on.

so yeah maybe i'm not a stoner because i'm not high all day long like some people i know, but going from gram to gram instead of copping ounces a week keeps me more appreciative of herb in general and that appreciation i have is a big part of the reason i enjoy it as much as i do. being addicted definitely takes the fun out of smelling some fine fine herb like it was the first time and getting "the taste," as dopeheads would call it, of some fine thc creeping up the muscles in your neck and making the bum of your brain start to tingle =D

this is kind of on topic but how derogatory/insulting do you guys find the term druggie? i was jut refered to as one by the administrator and i might be one but i still felt mildly insulted haha8)

Yep, I'm stoned the majority of the time i'm not at work, but through the week while working I only smoke before bed, I would rate myself as a medium to high stoner.

some1 who smoked pot everyday...

if ur in middle school- some1 who HAS smoked weed EX: "that kids a stoner, i heard he smoked weed"

I consider myself a stoner... I don't mind being called one as long as it isn't in a derogatory sense.

I really dont smoke as much as i used to, but with my personality and love of weed i consider myself one.

Anyone who ever hears breaking glass at a party and flinches because someone may have just lost a pipe is probably one... You can always tell those people who smoke quite a bit around those who don't when a pipe gets broken.. Those who smoke will have a shocked reaction to it, and the ones who dont will probably be asking why everyone is freaking out...

God its been a while since i smoked some really high quality shit, low tolerance plus one of the highest quality sativa strains i have ever come across... My tolerance is pretty low but even with the help of someone who's tolerance is pretty high we could hardly finish a bowl of it...

I think anyone who smokes on a fairly regular basis is a "stoner" of sorts.... There are lots of people who have smoked weed but not all of them go on to become everyday smokers... Some people don't want to do it very often, and the rest seem to love it enough to do it every day....

I dont think being called a stoner is as derogatory as being called an alcie or a junkie...

I am I guess a moderate stoner, like to smoke every day or when I get the chance....but I don't need to smoke, its a choice, I like weed. I know that if I smoke, theres a good chance I won't achieve as much in my day as I usually would, but it sure does put an interesting twist on things and keeps the menial bullshit of life at bay... I think this mindset = stoner

Yes I'm a stoner and I'm proud. I also think its dumb to consider "stoner offensive". Words are what YOU make it. That's just my opinion though.

Except racial slurs =/. Im a stoner :) I love it. Stay blazin yall.

Not a stoner...

Just your typical musician.

I'm not into 420 culture. Though I do smoke everyday. I do other drugs
quite often too.

But do you consider that daily smokers are addicts?

I am struggling with this idea. I quit drinking and blow (7 years now) but still smoke and personally question if I am lying to myself about my success...
I am a pothead, a daily toker for 15 years but I have a good job, a nice house, good kids, a new car... if I didn't smoke, im sure I'd be on Ritalin.

so? addict or not?!
(I searched, I read and I still want to know your opinion)

addict. but so what? I'm one too. I've been smoking for 40 years. I don't plan on stopping. But, if it ever caused me any problems, I would quit.

For me a stoner is a guy who smoke everyday, 5 or + joints per days. So yeah i'm one and i don't care of what the others think about it.

I agree with the stoner being a derogatory term fully. All the atributes of a stereotypical stoner are things that I generally try to avoid, i.e. smoking all day everyday, to cure boredom or because its the only thing on my mind and alowing it to become my number 1 priority ect. Having said that, I dont think that I look like a typical stoner either.

Winner. I feel the same. To me, calling someone a "stoner" is derogatory and as bad as calling someone who drinks an "alcoholic".

99% of the people I meet will NEVER even suspect, or know, that I enjoy good pot on a semi regular basis. I take PRIDE in the fact that I am NOT stereotyped.

Words are words, but this is a title, and with it comes a generally accepted meaning (just like: murderer, alco, jock, gun-nut).
You don't need words to describe / classify yourself, others do. You may enjoy holding this title, but it doesn't change it's meaning :P

That being said, whilst i don't consider myself one like i said, around friends we throw it around (i think it's one of THOSE words where it's etiquette only to use within the 'circle' ;), and i personally wouldn't be insulted greatly even if the general public labelled me so, as long as it's not posted everywhere >.> hehe.

you make you, you are
of yourself,
though others may disagree;
ignore, stand strong, persevere,
the only way to be free.
