i think if you take too much of a vitamin or supplement it just passes through your system without causing any damage so there shouldnt be any worries

Only if it's water soluble and not one of the fat soluble vitamins: A, D, E, K.

OP, figure out the RDI for the fat sol., then look at how much you're taking.

What is RDI?

And the main reason I was cautious is because of the profound effects on my mood.

just a thought..

im not a chemist but i do know that some things interfere with and some things are necessary for other vitamin/mineral uptake.. there are lots of things that can happen when you start to fuck around with things.. extracting minerals and vitamins probably as simple as drug companys would like us to think and there are alot of things that arent being considered.. for example what kind of supplements are you ingesting who knows.. what you should probably look at is the quality of supplement you are taking. im sure that there are a lot of things to consider other than what % you are taking if you are intersted in really being healthy.
i read that ascorbic acid is only one part of vitamin c, the outer part i believe.. anyone care to clarify??

Well, that's the route to getting your answer, DroidOpioid: Look up what the RDI, AI (adequate intake), or UL (upper limit, sometimes TUL [tolerable upper limit]) is for these supplements and then look at the dosage you're taking. Maybe someone knows off the top of their head, which is the main reason this thread has been left open, but otherwise you're going to have to do some research as I doubt anyone's going to do it all for you. :P

Granted the RDI, AI, and even TUL can vary person to person, but it'll give you a guideline.
