Summary at the bottom if it's too long for ya.
I've been doing stimulants (2-FMA, 4-FA, adderall, d-amphetamine often, butylone and propylhexedrine on occasion, high dose ephedrine too if that counts) for about 9 months now both orally and intranasally, plugged adderall a few times too. I see people complain of bad side effects like anxiety, shakyness, feeling like an antisocial robot, heart racing, and other side effects I can't think of right now who take much lower doses than I do, and I just don't get it.
I only get anxiety and tweaky shakyness/nervous pressured speech if I take an unreasonably high(for my tolerance) dose, I only get the "antisocial robot" effect people speak of if I've been awake on them for almost two days, and I've only experienced unfounded paranoia three times after being on day 4 of a sleepless, foodless binge. I have a prescription for adderall/vyvanse and I rarely take more than prescribed (20mg IR and 70mg respectively), if I don't take that for the day I become an antisocial and apathetic mess.
But even when I take only the prescribed dose for the day for a week or two, it never makes me feel robotic, it always increases my desire to socialize and really helps my social anxiety(which is pretty extreme when I don't take stimulants).
I have both severe ADHD and a mild form of borderline personality disorder, so I do have problems with anxiety (both social and abandonment anxiety) and no matter what stimulants always tend to lessen it or take it away. Low doses make it easier to deal with, higher doses completely destroy it. It's literally as good as benzos as an anxiolytic for me. I of course also get the classic good effects like a mood lift at low doses, euphoria at higher ones, along with increased self confidence, much better focus and all that.
I also never get bad comedowns from one dose. Ever. Even if I take a large dose of adderall, the "comedown" I get is just the high wearing off slowly and feeling baseline again, which sucks after being high, but it's certainly nowhere near as bad as people make stimulant comedowns to be and I can sleep relatively easily with the help of a benadryl.
Only times I've gotten what I'd consider a horrible comedown/hangover is after binging on it for days and taking nothing the next day, which results in depression, apathy, and what I call boredom on steroids. I can still function though if need be, it sucks but I can push through. (Thankfully with my prescription this isn't an issue anymore)
So, does this all sound typical or am I just a person who just so happens to react very well to stimulants? I ask because my experience doesn't seem typical to what others experience. I know I haven't done hardcore shit like smoking meth, but I see people who take small medical doses of adderall daily and get side effects far worse than I do. I also apologize for the rambly post, I at least took the liberty of splitting it in to paragraphs at least unlike many people
But here's a short summary anyway.
SUMMARY: I take lots of stimulants and basically never get the negative effects others tend to and I don't really get bad comedowns. Am I weird?
