Are all Ativan (lorazepam) tabs sublingual?

I think that sometimes different generic forms of pills take longer to dissolve than others. I get two distinctly different clonazepam tablets from the pharmacy I go to and one certainly dissolves faster.
That's the only thing I can think of - if any come in gelcap form then sure they're made to be taken orally but sublingually will work as well but obviously take longer to dissolve than a normal pill

I've had two or three different Ativan tablets (generic lorazepam - same thing) and they were all designed for sublingual...of course they dissolved at different rates though.

No, not all lorazepam preparations on the market are designated as for sub-lingual administration.

However, given enough time to dissolve, all lorazepam pills will absorb just fine via that route.

Mine are Ranbaxy and dissolve very quickly. The first time I took it I swallowed it and it took over an hour before it helped. After that I tried the sublingual method and it worked very fast.
