I used to attend an archery club with a mate of about 2-3 years back.

So much fun to be had and thinking of taking it up again here at uni once I can get in touch with the club.

So are there are BLs out there who shoot? how good are you and what advice would you give to a novice? (which is what I'm gonna have to class myself as when i start up again - bring on the arm bruises).

:D

I used to shoot allot when i was younger and actually won a few competitions. Under 15s Northern Ireland Champion for compound unlimited (using a compound bow with sights and stabalisers etc) and 6 tournaments field shooting at a local club. Although i don't shoot as much now i would still recommend a compound bow. The amount of customisation and tweaking abilities for this type of bow far exceeds that of a recurve or traditional bow. Get used to a variety of bows before even thinking about making a purchase and make sure to ask about for first hand info at your local club :)

Happy shooting,
Stu
