Approximately How Many (Central) Mu Receptors Do We Have

Obviously I am not looking for an exact number, but I am wondering if anyone has any info regarding how many mu opioid receptors are found in our brains?

I am really just looking for an order of magnitude.
I would have to imagine its at least tens of millions, perhaps hundreds of millions or even billions.

Anyone know?

So no one has a ballpark answer for this question?

On a related subject, I was wondering if anyone knows what approximate proportion of mu receptors need to be agonized in order to elicit a response.

Again, I am just looking for a ballpark figure. Is it likely you would need to agonize a large percent of the receptors (lets say 20% or more), or is it more likely that a typical recreational dose of an opioid only agonizes a tiny fraction (perhaps far less then 1 percent) of mu receptors?

all this depends on

1. the drug
2. the body
3. how the body handles the drugs (enzymes)

each person is different. and each person handles the drugs (internally) differently

....Which is why I asked for a ballpark figure (a simple order(s) of magnitude).

Of course there is variability amongst individuals.

Everyone has about forty when they're born. Due to downregulation if you're using a particularly potent opioid like fentanyl (or probably buprenorphine, I dunno) you can get down to just one. If you kill that last receptor though you automatically die and don't get to go to heaven. If you manage to keep it though, Jesus will be looking in your brain on judgement day and if you don't have the right number of receptors in your brain, he's going to know you're a drug user and sentence you to the rest of your life in hell.

maybe I'll just pop in periodically and post some nonsense that might come off as pseudoinsightful nonsense.

I laughed ever so slightly when I saw you post that you would no longer be posting here-it is beyond clear that you lack the self control to stay away.

So it seems that all that has changed is that you are now posting nonsense instead of your usual self-righteous insults. I think I preferred the insults.

Any real answers to my questions?
