according to wikipedia. 1.4g of apap is soluble in 100mL of water at 21c.
has there been any studies of the solubility of apap in lower temperatures?

very rarely ive done cwe on 800mg of codeine which was 80 tablets containing 10mg codeine/500mg apap each.
I had to use 200mL of water. at room temp that would be 2.8mg of apap at room temperature which is ALOT.
This is at room temperature. I cool it down to about 5 degrees. but as I take it out the filter it would warm up. So Id say it would be ending up being 10 degrees.

Ive onyo ever seen studies of the solubility of apap at 21 degrees but at not any cooler temps. Has anyone found any studies showing the solubility of apap at 5 or 10 degrees which is what ppl do the cwe out of.

Im interested in the solubility of water at 5-10 degrees in 100mL of water.

thanks

I'm sure I've seen this question answered before, but maybe just with "the solubility gets significantly smaller as the temperature drops". If you are looking for an actual scientific paper and are lucky enough to have access to this (unfortunately I don't!) this sounds pretty helpful:

The solubility of paracetamol (4-hydroxyacetanilide) in 26 solvents in the temperature range from −5 to +30 °C is reported. Paracetamol has a very low solubility in nonpolar and chlorinated hydrocarbons such as toluene and carbon tetrachloride whereas the solubility is very high in solvents of medium polarity such as N,N-dimethylformamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, and diethylamine. Paracetamol is soluble in alcohols, but the solubility decreases with an increase in the length of the carbon chain in the n-alcohol homologous series (methanol to 1-octanol). The solubility of paracetamol in water is much lower than in other polar solvents such as the alcohols. The ideal solubility of paracetamol is calculated, and the activity coefficient in the saturated solutions is estimated.

thats too much water u only really need 1-2ml per pill , i used 60ml for 40 pills the other day and it worked just fine . U should pay a visit to the codeine and CWE megathread over in aus DD , there is ALOT of information on this exact topic .
