So I have done it, I have just made an appointment at a certain Iboga house, in Canada. I am using this to get off a 10mg dose of ciprelex. (Do not want any SSRI withdrawals) and to help combat my anxiety. Just wondering, does anyone have any experience with ibogaine? Did you get flashbacks of your life (relived memories) any bad trips? Did it help combat anxiety for any of you? Did it help your life out? I am forking a lot of money out for this, so this is why I am asking some of you on here. I have heard of this curing people’s anxiety. If anyone has any experience I would greatly like to hear about it, or if you have any information you want to share, I would greatly appreciate that to.

Thank you.

I've taken it twice so far, to combat a complex drug habit/ addiction composed of copious amounts of psychedelics, dissociatives, pot, sometimes alcohol and stuff like kratom or phenibut. yes its ironic taking a psychedelic to get off psychedelics. It helped to some extent with my drug habit but not that much.

Both times I've taken it I havent experienced the vivid waking dream thing like talking to people from my life or anything, it was much more abstract and jumbled. In my most recent one i had some symbolic kindof experiences about dissociative drugs where i was floating through these future distopian slums/ wastelands and saw a pcp molecule carved into the wall. (dissociatives are probobly the drugs ive had the most severe addiction to) alot of the other stuff had this odd ringing noise and i would feel like i was moving very fast and somehow taken apart. Also as it was kicking in i'd see very realistic images of animals and bugs running around on the ceiling, they would fall twards me and right before they hit me they would be back on the ceiling! It's very odd, quite different from other psychedelics.

I wouldnt say it cures anxiety really, atleast in my experience. Its an extremely taxing experience on the mind and body (in your case monetarily too it sounds like). dont expect to feel normal for about a week or something. you see all of these weird blue flashes of light like electricity in your vision for several days after. So if you've tripped really hard a few times before you should be ok, but I dont know if its really worth the money to go to a clinic unless you have a serious physical addiction to something. Also it may be the case that high dose ibogaine actually causes some kind of brain damage.

For anxiety i'd really recommend zen meditation, its free and its very effective if you practice every day, probably a more reasonable option for you.

Is this a fact? Just wondering. And thank you very much for your input I appreciate it. I am still not sure about the whole thing. Maybe an ayahuasha experience might help my anxiety more compared to Iboga.

some guy at john hopkins found it gives rats brain damage (maybe at doses more ridiculous than humans would take) so yea thats not a fact but is possible. Although, it is a very very heavy kindof drug that effects a laundry list of receptors and will make you feel very changed, for better or worse or neutral. Ayahuasca would be good if you want to have an introspective experience and uncover and face your fears or the root of your anxiety. What comes to mind to me would be taking a good dose of mescaline in a nice setting outside. It is among the most wholesome, soothing and therapeutic psychedelics I've ever taken, I think it could help with anxiety. But again, I have to say daily meditation is so helpful for anxiety, just focusing on your breath and realizing your thoughts are nothing more than thoughts, the anxiety and fear isnt something that has to envelop your world.

i've taken it a few times, does nothing for anxiety and i think it would be completely useless for quitting an SSRI. If you're really worried about the discontinuation syndrome then get your Dr. to do a prozac taper, should be fine.

I've taken the total alkaloid extract, and it left me in a very zen, empty, peaceful state of mind that anxiety had a hard time penetrating. Of course, nothing is a cure, and after a few months you will find old mental patterns trying to creep back in. You can ward them off by either micro-dosing on Iboga, or taking advantage of your newfound peaceful state of mind to really work hard on yourself. Use the clarity of vision to work out inner problems. Like other entheogens, it requires effort and intention from YOU to work out what is causing your anxiety. It just gives you the space (a whole lot of it) to work it out.
