Anyone know about Blue Lotus ?

I found this link here http://www.erowid.org/plants/bluelotus/bluelotus.shtml but beyond that could not find much info on this. Has anyone else tried this before ? Where can I get some more info ? Can you grow this yourself ? Do you know how you're supposed to dose ?

I haven't tried this personally, but I have witnessed a friend use it.
Apparenty it results in a mild, warm opiate buzz (as there are some weak opioids in Blue Lotus) when smoked. My friend smoke numerous (3 or 4?) well-packed bowls with a bong. I would just start out with a bowl or two and see how you feel, smoking more as necessary...it SEEMS to be, AFAIK, a fairly mild, safe drug. It'd guess it's best used to accentuate other drugs...

erowid seems to think that its main active ingredient is apmorphine. Didn't think that was supposed to be abusable...anyone know?
