…Addicts getting moved on from towns in exchange for money? I heard of this recently where I’m from and have seen a big drop in the amount of street beggars and obvious addicts lining the pavement. Personally this seems fucking unethical and a very odd approach to the ‘problem’ so I wanna here from anyone else who may have noticed this.
I spoke with a close neighbour recently about another who’s clearly using and was told they were offered a large sum of money to move to a flat about 30mins away. What the actual fuck?? If that was me when I was in active addiction I’d of probably taken it and spunked the lot on weight. Don’t see how this is supposed to help people.
Might be worth investigating if this is some sort of approach that’s not being reported.
