It's a hardcore dissociative drug. It also acts strongly on serotonin, so has an extreme mood boosting effect as well. The dextromethorphan in cough syrup is actually in the prescription antidepressant Auvelity, so ya know it works well on depression. Cough syrup is definately a good go to if you suffer from any depression or treatment resistant depression. It's my favorite drug ever. In the past I was high on it 24/7. I miss those days. Can't anymore these days unfortunately. It's definately my favorite drug of all time, and I tried a lot of different drugs. Anyone else ever try this or like it?

Dissociatives Anyone else love dextromethorphan (cough syrup)?

I'm in my forties and still take dxm regularly, though not in cough syrup form (I won't source but it's a publicly available form that's easy to get). I rarely trip on it, but mostly use it as an adjunct to other psychoactives, like to boost kratom or to take a low dose in addition to the days I microdose psilocybin. I used to take unholy amounts in my youth and have some of the best trips ever, but I only rarely take what could be considered a psychedelic dose nowadays.
