Misc Any way to convert ritalin LA into IR?

I've searched both google and the forum and couldn't find an answer.

I'm going to get some Ritalin LA 40mg pills in a few days. ER Ritalin (in the form of concerts) doesn't really help my ADD for some reason, but IR helps me immensely.
I'm not going to snort the result, just consume it orally, so it doesn't have to be pure. I just don't want the ER mechanism.

I'm sure there's tons of info about this topic if you dig around enough. But no big whoop.

The problem with the LA pills is that the dose is 'embedded' in those little dense capsules. The capsules are designed to dissolve slowly in order to release the methylphenidate over several hours. But as you know, this makes it tough to use them in an 'IR' kind of way.

I have tried grinding the spansules into a powder and then mixing this with warm water. It sort of works. The spansules are difficult to dissolve, but you will get a lot of methylphenidate into an aqueous solution this way. You just have to be patient and stir the powder for a while.

If you pre-measure a quantity of water for the solution, then you can adjust your IR dose accordingly. For example, if you dissolve one Ritalin ER into 100mL of water, then 25mL will give you approximately 10mg of methylphenidate per dose.
