Any problem boiling MXE/water solution?

I have a plastic bottle of prepared MXE solution I stopped giving attention because I suspected it had been bacterially contaminated at some point.



Would there be any problems with, in order to re-sterilize, boiling the mixture?



In a common metal pot? While stirring?

boiling won't destroy any bacterial toxins that are present
