Any piano players/lovers out there??

Nice thread
Gotta post a few favorites real quick

John Booker - St Jame Infirmary

Also I love how a lot of Radiohead is piano driven, Thom can do it all though

He wrote this song at home after going grocery shopping with his wife, it's about her almost dropping some items and he's telling her to let it fall at the end but if you listen closely you can hear her cutting up the veggies

Thom Yorke - How I made My Millions

Radiohead - Living In A Glass House

Cat Power - Maybe Not

Cat Power - Names

I could prolly just keep finding piano driven songs I love but I'll end this post for now.

Ah DUDE!!!! How could I have forgotten Radiohead?!?! You just made my week haha thank you so much <3 I know what I'll be doing!! :)

This piano piece is one of my favourites. Sounds a bit like the music from Zelda.

I've been teaching myself piano for the last year and a half. Dunno if I should accept defeat and get a teacher. Beginning to stagnate.

edit: and yeah, that Jon Schmidt piece is a total beaut!

DO NOT give up. It is completely worth it and if you want some pointers I'll be here for you. Unfortunately I'm not a bluelighter yet so if you want my email feel free to ask me anything if you can PM me and I'll send you my email :) Not sure how that works yet

I just recently found these guys and I want to see them go all the way. They are touring the USA this year and I just wish nothing but the best for them.

They are called The Piano Guys (or ThePianoGuys) same thing. I love them a million times more solely because Jon Schmidt, the guy who did All of Me is the piano player <3 He's truly my idol. This is perfection at its finest.

I've never heard such beautiful renditions of songs using only, and legitimately only, a piano and a cello. I promise you will love it. I can't get enough of it! Please show support for them!

This is their YouTube channel how it all started: http://www.youtube.com/user/ThePianoGuys
"Five guys from different walks of life with different skill sets, from different places -- each had built their own careers"

They even have a few songs with vocals with someone named Tyler Ward. He sings the song Titanium and he is just incredible. Voice of an angel. I'll post a few favorites to save the digging through all their videos =)

Taylor Swift - Begin Again: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P94DusN4LsY ***I'm not a huge Taylor Swift fan but my god is this incredible!**** I also think it's funny that the top comment is "I think Taylor Swift did a cover of this"

Titanium/Pavane - David Guetta/Faure : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fz4MzJTeL0c ***Honestly my favorite, look for the one where Tyler Ward sings if you wish to hear it with vocals. It's a very difficult song to sing!***

Christina Perri - A Thousand Years : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgaTQ5-XfMM ***Incredible***

I'll let you guys find the rest. They have so much and I have literally cried listening to one of their songs. Music always holds the most special place in my heart and these guys tap into it way too hard.

You'll also notice that they play in beautiful locations. They actually helicopter a BABY GRAND PIANO onto a mountain top and everywhere else they are. I can't get enough of them and hope you love them as much as I do. Stay well my friends <3

Piano Song Covers

Just found this channel on youtube. She's a professional pianist, covers lots of classic rock/metal songs.. and very, very well!

My two favourites (biased Floyd fan here)..

We have a piano lovers discussion thread
Hasn't been bumped in a while and I think this would fit perfectly with it

Zing

Here's a nice cover of John Lennon's Real Love by Regina Spektor and I actually had the pleasure of being in that crowd for it
What a fucking hot ass day though

I want to learn piano. But I'll be more than happy just learning this:

I can play piano... Just not very well.

A good deal of that some from accordion. (Piano accordion, not bayan)
Although I would love to get a bayan when I have a shitload of money just sitting around.

But anyway, I like how the piano is set up, with the chromatic scale just kind of played out there to see plainly.

Anyway idk if you are interested in electric organ, but I can show you a lot of great stuff if you are. Although much of it you may have already heard.
