Any experiences with Ambien prescription pills?

Ambien is prescribed for insomnia and was developed as an alternative to benzos (to have less potential for abuse). According to some trip reports on erowid, these seem to have an abuse potential that is just as high as benzos (i.e., they can make you feel good).
Anyway, I have two of these. Wondering if anyone on here had experiences with them.

30-40mg just knocked me out...I didn't feel "high" at all...

I took 15mg for the first time about a week ago. I don't think I took enough because I had minimal effects. I felt floaty, a little drunk, and more creative. It definately didn't live up to the height I'd expected, so I drank about 3 shots(I NEVER drink, this was an exception) and smoked some nug. It was a lot 'trippier' then. Nothing too exciting, but definately something to try once at least.
If *I* had 20mg, me would eat them both and smoke a little bud. Have fun!

I've tried ambien a few times and I love it. Asa recreational drug, I think that it fits into the category of sorta fun. Trying to stay awake is the fun part. Usually you will black out for a few a while before you actually fall asleep. I fell asleep playing MAdden on PS2 agianst my buddy. I had no idea how I got into bed. Sleep is suburb. You feel really rested and your not groggy at all the next day.
 
It's kinda a toss-up, like Ultram or Soma - some people claim it gives a great high, while others think it's crap.. personally I think the effects are very close to that of a weak benzo.. but I wouldn't spend to much on it..

BENZOS dont really give a "high" IMO...at least to me they don't..YES,they do make me RELAXED and GROGGY,but not HIGH..i get MELLOWED OUT,but thats it..i can bump 30 mg of VALIUM,and fall asleep...
im not saying i dislike BENZOS,as they have their use,but as far as its REC properties,i rate them low...

I am yet to try to use the ambien i have recreationally but from what i remember the feeling to be before i've passed out, i don't see it being much fun.
Plus, i've found that while it does knock me out, I sleep poorly and wake up with this icky feeling that lasts all day. It's like I was knocked out but never got to very deep levels of sleep. This seems to be one of those drugs whose effects vary greatly from user to user.
 
ambien in my opinion is a lot like benzos except not as relaxing, they really just make you fall asleep, but once I took 30mg and I did manage to stay awake for 1 hour and I saw some MILD hallicinations, I don't know if it was from the ambien though. Some people enjoy it..
