any candidates for the future wonderdrug?

In his novel Island he refers to "Moksha" which is apparently the ideal psychedelic that fits that bill perfectly.

"Moksha" means liberation in sanskrit, so whoever said enlightenment and meditation, yeah.

If I'm not mistaken that quotation is from Doors of Perception, which is about his mescaline experience, but he seems to be alluding to a hypothetical ideal.

Visitor Q, I wasn't aware that Huxley had an experience with Crowley. Could you shed some light on that? I'm really interested, they are two strong influences of mine.

Therapy. No lie. I was never more at peace than I was in rehab. Sadly such a state cannot be maintained.
So I guess I'd say enlightenment and meditation, and a lil yoga in there with it never hurt :)

Meditation

Agree.

I find some individuals who may experience higher states of enlightenment on drugs still devalue the experience to an extent because it was chemically induced, if they could experience that same sensation through meditation it would really open them up to infinite and unconditional love.

This was more or less the case for me, i completley surrender myself to the drug experience and took it all on board, but to experience that sensation of ego-death and oneness through meditation removed all doubts i had, as small as they were. If i were to suggest a drug it would be DMT, as i found it's effects similar to the type of mediation i used.
