I have been to the ER 11 times in the past month or so, and everyday I'm getting more stressed.

Basically, I was on a bunch of medications, including Ambien CR 6.5 and Gabapentin 800 that both suddenly caused tachycardia.
My heart rate was getting up to 132 bpm, and so they put me on Propranolol.

Now they took me off some medications, including the Ambien and the Gaba, and Topamax 250, so now I'm just on Depakote 750, Levothyroxine 75, and Valium 10.5.

But my average resting heart rate keeps going down. Last week even sleeping it was 78 bpm, last night it got to 51. And my heart rate seems all over the place (I have a fit bit now). I had to stop taking the propanolol because it was getting too low.

At the ER they did EKG's and chest x-rays and blood tests and didn't find anything. Eventually I went there so many times they just gave me a psych consult, but I'm still worried and wondering why my heart rate keeps dropping. It says online that bradycardia can come and go and I might have to wear a monitor to find it, but that's not until the 8th, and on the 12th I have an Echo test.

I know 51 is okay but my concern is how much it's dropped and why. I don't have any dizziness or chest pain or breathing problems, but I do have a lot of anxiety and heart fluttering (which I know can be caused by the anxiety). My husband thinks part of it is just because the other meds have left my system and my heart might be returning to normal.

I stopped the propranolol 3 days ago, but then I had this problem where right before I drift to sleep my heart starts to race, so I took my remeron and I slept, but now I'm afraid to. I've already lost three full nights of sleep this week being freaked out and I'm exhausted. I also don't want to go to the ER again. Part of me thinks, wouldn't they have found something already? the other part of me is completely anxious and breaking down and confused. I'm really sensitive to caffiene now too, I don't know if that has anything to do with anything but I'm exploring all possibilities. How much of this could be anxiety, the meds leaving, and how much of it is an actual problem? I'm calling my cardiologist tomorrow but any advice is appreciated.

IMO you answered yourself.... its pure anxiety
which sounds to me getting into the realm of health anxiety
anxiety can manifest itself into many diff combos of symptoms

fast heart rate is "normal" when dealing with anxiety my BPM is all over the place at times sometimes in 100+ to as low as 60, even the heart palps
i went to a cardiologist and wore a monitor for 24hrs and nothing was wrong
i even suggested for them to test me again and the doc looked at me with the biggest WTF look anyone has ever given me lmao
i still feel my heart going all crazy but i ignore it and eventually it becomes a lost fart in the wind
i quickly learned if i dwell on my HR the more intense itll get and the more panic i exp

if you went to the ER 11 times and nothing was found....think its safe to say you should relax

highly recommend trying out psycho therapy and or see a psychiatrist
