Antibacterial Q-tips??

I have these antibacterial q-tips, right... it doesn't say what antibacterial it uses, but I suspect triclosan. I was thinking that these would be great to use as a filter when I slam shit 'cause it'll kill any germs that are present. My question is... is this antibacterial shit OK to put in my vein, or will it do more harm than good??

Although I'm not positive, I'd guess that using a plain old sterile q-tip would be a better way to go. Antibacterial chemicals are not necessarily safe for injection.

do you know why, exactly? i don't mean to be a bitch, but if you don't have any reason for posting something... well, i just don't think that crimson cloud was asking for anyone's personal opinion.

Um, well, you see the thing is that it really would do a piss-poor job at "killing germs" if used as a filter.. any germs or bacteria in the water are going to be drawn up and shot - there is no avoiding it.... the purpose of a filter is ONLY to keep solid particles out of the syringe, thats it, nothing else...
If anything, that added chemical would cause irritation at the injection site, depending on what it is there is even a chance of it doing far more harm then good..
Sorry, there are a number of risks that come with IV drug use and some of them can't really be avoided..
Ditch these things and just use sterile Q-tips..
