Another cocaine freebase question?

What is a good thing to use to filter the freebase precipitate out of the ammonia solution? Could a coffee filter work? Ether is not essential, right?

I skim the top with a metal rod.. you could use a coffee filter but it may gunk up and you might have a poor time recovering it...
