Yeah, he really does it. Only with oranges though. I'll see if I can borrow a friends camcorder. I agree, I should put it on Youtube

Not nescessarily, the parrot could conceivably have just let the oranges go off quite accidentally, no need to plan for fermentation

Then, parrot finds old oranges, eats, gets pissed, then 'hey polly wanna double vodka'

Most animals can learn like that though, as a simple example if you hit one it'll become scared of you! I guess Limpet chicken meant that the discovery was accidental, rather than some innate knowledge that old fruit gets you drunk.
