okay I just have to vent a little bit. I figure this is a suitable forum unless the mods dont share my opinion. I have no problem removing this if necessary. I really REALLY hate asswipes who abuse the system and sell their prescriptions. I mean seriously WTF? Is there no other way to make a dollar than to do this? Oxycodone (and opiates in general) have gotten such a bad rep and I think part of the reason is because of the pieces of shit whose agenda is to feign an injury in order to obtain pain medicine for the sole purpose of selling it. Thats just bullshit. All this does is make doctors more reluctant to prescribe narcotics to those patients who actually need the meds. I suffer from pancreatitis and it freaking sucks. If i did not have pain medication I would be in bed the majority of my life. For the most part eating wouldnt be an option because I would just throw up anything i tried to put down, then remain in the fetal position for an hour or so. I am prescribed a hefty dose of oxycodone however i would never sell my script. Even if i didnt need it I would not sell it. I have seen quite a few lives ruined by this drug, however on the flip side I have seen quality of life for chronic pain sufferers greatly improved by this same medicine. It just makes me furious that idiots make a living out of selling pain pills. Sorry for the negative post but something needs to be done about thes asswipes.

I know what your saying and it does suck. Then on the other hand people like my husband who get the your to young for these meds speech from his pain doctor and he has serious back problems that we were told no doctor in our state would even touch on surgery they would have to send him to Texas for surgery. Yet they dont want to give him what he needs to be out of pain. So in a way i am glad some people sell their scripts otherwise when he used to run out of his hed just be sick and in pain. Thats how it was for him thats how it is.
 
Unfortunately as you said we don't really have a place for threads like this.

Perhaps you could write about it in the Blog section of BL?
