Let me start by saying, I adore Playstation, I think all of them are great, especially 2 and 4.
But, my sister had a old boyfriend who was addicted to very heavy and harmful drugs. She got him an original Xbox when it was still relevant.
He didn't want it and gave it to me.
I loved that thing so much. I loved playing Halo 1 and 2, Doom 3, Turok, Black, The Suffering, Godzilla and Mortal Kombat.
But, when I was sent to the hospital because of me possibly having Psychosis, my sisters ex guilt tripped her into letting him take my fucking Xbox. He said it was his and he only let me borrow it, despite him never using it and my parents bought all the games for me.
So he fucking took it and sold it for fucking meth.
He didn't take my games though, because I always put them away with my valuables.
So I came home, and was fucking devastated.
I forgot to mention that her boyfriend lived with us.
I went to my dad and cried. He was fucking pissed.
He threw her boyfriend out.
He never came around anymore, except one time he tried to sneak in the see my sister and was met with my dad's Winchester 1200.
So, a few months passed and I was always locked in my room. Lucky for me my mom gave me her Super Nintendo to keep me happy.
My mom started coming home late, like around twelve. She was doing 11 hour shifts. I asked her why, but she always gave a confusing answer.
Then one day, the door rang. My mom told me to answer it. I went an opened the door, and the ups guy handed me a package from Amazon.
My mom pretended to be surprised and asked me to see what it was.
It was a fucking Xbox 360.
I was so happy I cried.
For the next 8 years I played 360 for at least 25 hours a week.
Then they announced Xbox One and PS4.
It was a general opinion that the PS4 was better.
I didnt care. I saved up 550$ to buy it the first day it was released.
But my point is, like me and many other Xbox One owners, we new we were picking a console that might fail.
But when something brings you happiness for 12+ years while everyone treats you like shit, you choose with your heart, not with console specs.
