An update on my best specimen

Pittsburgh, PA chart shows average first frost at 9/20? I wish you the best of luck but unless you have a greenhouse I wouldn't get too attached to harvesting that plant. It looks similar to plants I'd expect in april/may depending on climate. I wouldn't expect that to be finishing until sometime in november. Luckily it at least looks like an indica dominant.

I'll probably use a box or something to speed that up.

Also I dunno can somebody tell me how to speed the flowering process up, can I just move it to an area that only gets light early in the day? I won't be able be able to tend to the plant 24/7, so I can't keep removing a box and all that stuff.

And I know this probably sounds funny but I hear pissing on the plants (in the soil anyways not on the plant!) gives it a decent source of nitrogen if you can't use fertilizer, so I pissed on em today lol. Rain water is also good to use so maybe I'll put a bucket outside and let it fill up. I've been using bottled water, and tap water if I couldn't use that. I also noticed that if I put my nose up to the leaves is has a very faint skunky smell to it mmmm, I really hope this is female.

you pissed on your plant???? are you serious??? poor plants:(

dont piss on your plants! they look perfectly fine!

you cant shorten the hours of light it gets outside by putting it anywhere. cannabis plants have to have 12 hours of complete darkness to flower. the slightest bit of light will keep them from flowering or make them do other weird things like change sex or hermaphrodite.

build a stealth grow box in a dresser in your room or closet or something. if your crafty enough you can make it virtually invisible to the naked eye. use the highest watt compact florescent you can find. their probably the most efficient indoor light for you.

check out grasscity.com or cannabisculture.com both have really good grow forums discussing everything from a-z and back.

Piss has some nitrogen, and I think the other two had nitrogen defiecincy

So what can I do to make it flower?

And how would I go out drying it? Can I just put the bud in a paper bag and open it every now and then?

Turn off the computer for a bit, stop tanning under your 1k HPS and look outside. Cannabis grows just fine out there, and it flowers long before the single day somewhere around the autumnal equinox that the sun is actually out for a 12 hour cycle.

I understand that you've been told what you've repeated as gospel, it goes around a lot. But it's dead wrong. It's true that some highly inbred indoor genetics hermie at the drop of a hat or are overly sensitive to light cycles. But the majority aren't and cannabis is actually much less sensitive than you've been lead to believe.

As long as the days are getting shorter (meaning it's after the summer solstice) the plant has begun producing hormones that allow it to flower. There are plenty of tricks that people use to take in 3 harvests a year outdoors or in greenhouses in your state, including the trash bag trick that's being suggested to the OP.

It's true that indoor crops have a ton of advantages in terms of dialing in an ideal environment, but it's far from the only way. Don't discount the sun, it's a better spectrum than even your hortilux and someone already jumped the meter for you.

Yeah well I swore it grew even more since yesterday! I moved it to another location where its behind some random weeds, blends in perfectly besides that you can see the pot. I'm just worried about how much sunlight gets back there, but I think it will get enough.

My other two plants aren't doing to well, I transplanted them, one grew a bit but its like falling over, I really hope they make it, what can I do to make them get through the transplant?

Also I dunno if you can the pot size in the picture, but will that be okay for the plant to grow?

UPDATE: Pictures

I got some pictures of the ones I transplanted, they seem to be more mature than what their size should be, they have true leaves yet they are so small, hopefully the transplant will save them and I will see a growth spurt soon. They did grow a bit since yesterday so I am hopeful, but I dunno about the most severely damaged plant.

The one I'm worried about:

The one I'm hopeful for:

Hiding spot:

Close up, some growth since the last pic: (Look at that fucking ant! I flicked that bitch off the plant, I hope bugs don't eat it

I'm hoping those two plants turn around, its all because of that shitty miracle gro, but the potting soil I put them in now should be able to give them some nutrients and should save them, also any growers, whats wrong with em?

If its nitrogen, more pissing. Any other household shit I could add to give to make em better? I can't buy fertilizer and all that.

Bump.

I read that Epsom Salt is good for a source of magnesium, so urine, and epsom salt can be my ghetto fertilizer lol.

And I plan on drying in a brown paper bag (if I make it that far) but the problem is I dunno where I would put it while it dries, I don't want it to smell in my house, but I also don't want animals getting into it if I do it outside, I may put it in a container or something.

Any tips would be welcome, I think I have them concealed enough and the neighbors can't see much because of the way my backyard is. I don't have to worry about police helicopters...they don't really do that shit. They do it in Cali and places where they grow it in the woods though.

You do know that you can get decent organic fertilizer for dirt cheap (no pun intended), right? Gardeners do use epsom salts for mag no question, but mag (or cal/mag) is a pretty small part of the over all picture. You should be able to pick some bat guano, worm casings or a commercial liquid NPK for $5 or $10. Are you that broke?

When you get close to the point of drying and curing feel free to PM me.

I'm only 16 man, and I can't go out to a gardening place and buy all this shit. My dad is a gardener but he never uses any shit like that, grows everything natural and gets good tomatoes and peppers. I'm not broke, but I can't spend my money how I want, which is why I am growing in the first place, so I can just grow my own bud.

What do you think about the two retard plants? One of them has to be female, I hope they both make it just in case my healthy plant is a male...

They've just been transplanted from miracle gro which is SHIT for growing weed, I seen somebody elses plant and it was all dwarfed and already flowering when it was only 3 inches lmao. Hopefully this potting soil will save em.

Looks like they might be getting drowned to me but it's pretty difficult to know for sure from a few pictures. If your miracle gro was mixed way too strong you could have burned them, they need next to 0 nutes when they're that small so it's very unlikely it was a deficiency. Urine's OK for N if that's all you have, but miracle gro while far from ideal should still grow you some decent plants if you don't mix it too hot. I saw a grow log online with quite healthy plants where the grower used it to prove a point.

When did you start them from seed? About 3-4 weeks ago? Due to biology and genetics some seedlings just aren't meant to be even if you do everything right.

All the plants were started at the same time mixed in different pots. I think I transplanted one of them to the potting soil, but I left those two in the miracle gro. The one in the potting soil grew very fast and is healthy, but those two didn't. The only difference, besides the seeds are that they were in different growing mediums. I should of transplanted them way earlier, but I only got around to it this week.

I was also thinking of maybe germinating some more seeds and planting them just in case these don't make it. They'll be smaller when it comes to flower but its better than nothing.

Don't start anymore seeds at this point. I'm wishing you the best for your most established plant, but as you have only about six weeks left until your early frost and it hasn't shown sex yet even it needs a lot of luck. Starting something from seed now even in the best conditions and ideal genetics it would need 10-12 weeks to finish which I assume would be well into your heavy frost season. An early/light frost won't necessarily kill your plants but a heavy one most certainly will. Next year try to start a few in april-may and you'll get some sure winners. Best of luck!

Well I got a bit of some plant feed with all the nutes in it so it should help. Btw I've been watering them once a week just enough to wet the soil is this good?

Water your plant then when the top inch or so of soil feels dry, water again.

Repeat process.

Most the time I end up watering twice per week, then again your outdoors so if it rains there's no need to water.

Okay well, it was raining pretty heavily today and I noticed my biggest plant is now all droopy! Well the leaves are anyways. Is this okay, I just won't water it this week since it got plenty of water, I just want to know if it can recover, its still green and all that though.

My other plants look the same from what I see, I didn't get a good look at them but they look the same size from the window, I'll be able to check on them tommorow and feed them this plant food I got. I just hope they start growing more.
