I don't really have an article for this one as I got the information from a newsletter, and didn't uncover anything in a very shallow Google search, but still thought itd be worth updating about and following up with some more details at some point.
The US government still wants you to be in pain, self inflicted or otherwise, so the legality of kratom is always "open to discussion" in various states in particular.
Looks like Washington State was about to have it added to schedule 1, but it was over ruled by citizen action (that's the team I root for). Here's the lil email:
Dear *the asshole that received this email and then posted about it on bluelight.org*
The Washington State Pharmacy Quality Control Commission unanimously voted today to terminate the rule making for making kratom a Schedule I. Thank you to all
___________
Ok that's definitely very brief and sparse of details :/ if anyone is more knowledgeable and wants to share any info, please feel free, and I'll look for a more full article.
It's still a positive development for people with chronic pain or just plain enjoyers of kratom that live in Washington State or in the states broadly
