Robdob
Bluelighter
I'm sitting by myself
To much time to feel the pain
Introduced to a world outside of the sane
The tock of the clock
The whirl of the wind
Forgive me father, my life is a sin
Sitting on the edge of my bed
Sunlight turning my face to a shade of red
The telephone rings and my pager sings
I just need to be left alone for awhile
Singing out a love song for this girl I know
Only trouble is she left an about hour ago
Always too late and never on time
The rope lost its slack now I have to climb
I kick myself and the scars run deep
I Tap my fingers on top of this can
Hoping I can live in that distant land
I get up and I go out to my car
Drive around for awhile,
Everything seems so far
I pull of to the side of this road
My shoulders ache from carrying this load
I dream about heaven
I look up towards the sky
My heart chared from desire
Tears pour from my eye
The closest star
It shines so bright
Left here to enjoy it
I'm alone with the night.
