i could totally see my story "born of infinity" (posted under my old nick "skjalff") in this one, except this one is a bit more explicit, goes into much more detail of the same reasoning, and is otherwise better. I wanted to base a book on my story, but now, i feel, that the job is well done, the ideas are worded and phrased, I only wish i could edit it for effect and scientific accuracy lol .. click the link! Interesting read with some cool ideas, its a shame it smacks of ego and belief superiority

You may want to check out Calculating God by Robert J. Sawyer.
Similar, in that its a fictional setting used as a platform to present ideas and evidence about the existence of god as a creator + natural phenomenon.

^^I will definitely check this book out, but.. i have to disagree, I feel this story presents ideas about godhood and what it means to be a god. IMO the very notion of god as a character in the story is incidental and is itself used to disprove the very concept of the said "godhood", particularly its present interpretation by the religious majority.


on a side-note, "ego and belief superiority" - absolutely, it bugged me quite a bit as well..

its surprising how much of the religious majority isn't ever exposed to the opposite side. What you see from people who speak out in the name of religion is a small percentage of the religious population. I guess i shouldn't say surprising, more so sad.
