Hello everyone. My friend did a load of aMT and he has type 1 diabetes, his blood sugar is going crazy and his insulin is not proving to be particularly effective. I've tried to find data regarding what happens when these two things are combined but can't find anything. Any information either first hand or someone who could point me in the right direction to do some research about this would be appreciated.

In future I'd just focus on monitoring him until the experience is over, making sure his blood sugar stays stable, and if you're unable to keep it stable, get him medical help - since none of us can help keep him safe while he's undergoing this.

As for actually answering the question, stimulants can often mess with and cause spikes in blood sugar levels, particularly in people suffering from diabetes, so careful attention to blood sugar has to be paid. AMT isn't just a psychedelic but also a monoamine releasing stimulant, so you definitely have to be more careful with it than with other psychedelics.
