"vilazodone also exhibits negligible inhibitory activity at the norepinephrine and dopamine transporters (IC50 = 56 nM for NET and 37 nM for DAT)."
I know that dat phosphorylation causes dat to internalize when kinase is released when amphetamine is in the axon terminal causing a "reverse flow of dopamine."
but my question is, is there a blunting affect when vilazodone is inhibiting the dopamine transporter? and if so, to what extent?
I'm not very well educated on the subject and was curious to know what's really happening.
would really appreciate some insight.
