Amphetamines and Arrhythmia

hey what's up. i want to know if i should stop using amphetamines right away. cause i have an irregular heart beat and like once or twice a month i use adderall or vyvanse,..let me know if you guys heard anything bad about this mix, or if like most things...anything in moderation is safe.

Question: Do you PERCEIVE that you have irregular heart beat? Or, have you been to the Doc and been told this? --if the former, and you are genuinely concerned I recommend seeing a doctor and getting your heart checked out.

You're right - those in moderation (small doses) SHOULD NOT cause arrhythmia however that doesn't mean it can't happen. I know people who DO take 1+ amphetamine w/o problems, also those who can't handle it.

Bottom line: if you are concerned and want to continue using both - get your heart checked out. For me, I used to think I had irregular heart beat (due to adderall + lots of other substances) until I went to the ER. = panic attack.

Yeah, a doctor told me after an EKG, being put on a machine that beeps everytime your heart beats and a doc listening to my heart. so after she did those 3 she she told me. i've heard from 2 docs before that i did have arrhythmia. i used to abuse crystal meth from 17-23, then i was able to cut meth from my life altogether. since i stopped using meth regularly, i must've relapsed not that many times till this year. till i started going out with this guy who i'm not seeing anymore. before i went out with him this year i relapsed once. then once we started going out, we started doing adderall together. it's something he gets for the purpose of abusing it. thank god he only gets it once a month, but he's done with the bottle in like 4 days. so recently i've been doing amps more then last year. i think since i'm not going out with him anymore i'm going to stop it. when i was doing it with him recently, i used to like taking around 100-160mgs at once. but now i see i can get a nice buzz @ 60-80mg. so next time i use it, i'm going to stay there, but i'm just worried if i should not be using it at all. or if i stay at a dose of 60mgs every 12hrs or so, is less harmful. i guess i'm confused. but thanks for trying to decipher the reply. i'm on 100mg of methadone now.
