OK so I've done approx 50mg dexamphetamine over the past 6hrs, which while being a fair bit more than usual, is not a large amount - back in the day I used to go alot further than that with meth. Dont have any tolerance though.
Had also taken some ibuprofen earlier in the day, probably still some floating round in my system.. just a regular dose though, and I've used it innumerable times before without issue.
Anyhow - I've been laying down listening to music, then I got up after an hour or so - and as sometimes happens, I get that light-headed-going-to-faint-but-not-that-severe kinda feeling.. which I am presuming is blood pressure related. I'm used to it happening sometimes normally (not on drugs) when I do the same thing.... squat down for a minute then jump up, etc... I'm sure you are all familiar with it.
However, this time I went right to the point of blacking out, just for an instant... or something like that! When it didnt stop at the point it usually would I was kinda like.. "hangon. whoa.. oh shit whats happening.. grab something quick" - luckily my desk was right in front of me. I couldnt coordinate very well by that point, movements were slow and clumsy, as were my thoughts.. it took me a while to figure out what to do. Although that could have been an illusion I guess, you know how things seem to slow down in certain events. I didn't actually faint, I think.. but my mind blanked for a second.. everything went dark/faint - slowly fading out until I just kinda wasnt there.. like a slow fade to unconsciousness.. then almost immediately I came out of it and thought "wait what.. something was wrong.. I was trying to prevent something.. what was it? " and it took me about 5 seconds to figure out what was going on.
Kinda reminds me of when I come back from a nitrous experience.. you have to sort of rebuild your perception of the world before you know whats going on, but once youve pieced it back together, you remember everything fine. (not the nitrous experience lol.. nobody ever remembers that hahaha)
Anyhow, my main thinking is just that this is an expected reaction and nothing particularly out of the ordinary, given the circumstances. I'm fine now.. I dont have any lasting effects, it hasnt happened since I got up taht first time. Heart rate seems OK, etc. I just thought I'd get a second opinion.
In fact now that I've finished writing this I think I'm just obsessing over the event, as one does in this state 8)
But hey, no harm in getting a second opinion... I guess it's not that big a deal, but I've literally never fainted once in my life, so it's something alien to me, I dont really know whether it was a normal mild faint or not.
