amphetamine paradox

I hear racemic amphetamine has an oral bioavailability of 25%, and dextroamphetamine has a bioavailability of 75%. The dextro isomer makes up half, and if 75% gets absorbed isnt it going to be approx 37% of the total drug getting absorbed anyhow? with a 75% BA how does racemic get to be 25%????

that isnt very relevant. rectal admin has highest BA, snorting second highest. Since its a pill I wouldnt even try to shoot. But im not sure how reliable the figures are because of seemingly contradictory figures.

Doubt figures are accurate, and doubt it really matters, short of the faster its in plasma, the faster you'll feel effect. About 30%-40% of whats ingested, by any route, is excreted via the kidneys unchanged. As urine is sterile, (unless you have a UTI or are just a dirty white boy) one could technically just drink their piss like a coal miner, or extract the amines and recycle. Go green.
