Amphet salts

Well thinkin of trying to make some salts into some bases, thinkin possibly 100mg of givin salt in pill form crushed and dissolved into some water, then water saturated with lye added to the amp salt/water, stirred then let settle.

Theoretically it should work im just hoping the fillers and binders dont find there way thru.

Any input would be nice.
 
why do you want to do that?

a good procedure would be crushing pills, dissolving them in H2O dest., filtering off insolubles, add solution of base (doens't have to be saturated, you just have to get the pH about 2 above the pKa of your amphetamine), filter off insoluble base/extract base with unpolar solvent and distill off solvent (if your base is liquid)

keep in mind that these bases (at least amphetamine and mdma are, don't know about meth) might be liquids!
also check the solubility of your base in H2O, so that you're not losing some if it's soluble somewhat in warm water or something...
 
solubility is 1:10 for the pills. Why am i extracting base wit unpolar solvent?? Wouldnt the base be solid and could be filtered into a coffee filter?? P/S using 20mg gen combo amp pills.
 
well the issue he was saying is the bases may remain aqeous and thus not be caught by the filter. and the NON-polar solvent he is talkign about is for remmoving binders and other shit not caught by ur first run through the filter not the amphetamine base.
 
so essentially the non-polar could be done first as long as the amps are not soluble in said NP? then whats left dissolved in water then filtered? Also if left in aqueous stated how would i go about crashing the amps out?
 
well yea before basification you can do a NP solvent pull. and if the amph will remain aqeuos and not be cught by the filter my monly easily feasible guess is to use very very igh proof alcohol instead of water then evaperate the alcy when ur done. only issue i sjut realized is ur going to be left with sodium hydroxide too. im stumped here haha.

no actually i was talking about extracting the base.

amphetamine freebase is a liquid at room temp! if you dissolve it and add lye you will get two phases. one will the the aqueous solution and the other will be oily amphetamine base.
